About the Product
Work Assistant is a mobile workplace application designed for employees, visitors, and content managers across large corporate campuses. The platform serves as a centralized hub for workplace information, providing access to campus maps, employee directories, cafeteria menus and hours, social content, news updates, security alerts, and other essential resources. By bringing together information that is often scattered across multiple systems, Work Assistant helps employees quickly find the services and information they need to navigate and engage with campus life more effectively.

Process
The design process focused on addressing a common challenge faced by large campus environments: communicating important information efficiently and ensuring employees are aware of available resources. Through stakeholder interviews, user research, and workflow analysis, I identified gaps in how critical updates, facilities information, dining schedules, and workplace amenities were being delivered and discovered.
The resulting solution consolidated these resources into a single mobile experience featuring campus navigation, integrated communications, and personalized content. By leveraging Google Maps with custom overlays for internal floor plans and campus facilities, the application provided employees with location-specific information that was unavailable through traditional mapping tools, making workplace navigation and resource discovery faster and more intuitive.

Success
Work Assistant successfully transformed how employees interacted with corporate campus resources by creating a centralized, mobile-first workplace experience. The platform improved communication, increased visibility of campus services and amenities, and made it easier for employees to stay informed about workplace updates and events.
With features supporting both end users and content administrators through a web-based CMS, the application enabled scalable management of campus information while driving greater engagement, resource utilization, and overall employee satisfaction across the organization.
